In our daily lives, amidst teaching, coaching, and navigating the family life, it's easy to get lost and forget to appreciate the little things that make these roles so special.

Teaching with Heart and Soul

As a PE teacher, each day I strive to encourage students to enjoy physical activity through the various fun and exciting activities we do. From the start I have been trying to nail down the procedures and expectations that I feel will help run a smooth class. When a student thanks me it encourages me to keep creating engaging and fun activities to help them grow. My High school classes have come with it's good and challenging moments. For one it's hard to get students excited about Health class but on the other end its nice to have students who are a lot more responsible at putting away equipment. The health class is a whole new dynamic for me where I am learning new tricks and strategies each day.

Coaching to Empower

As a coach I try my best to empower our student-athletes through motivational speeches, prayer and reading God's word. We have had our fair share of adverse weather but that has helped bolster our confidence in themselves all along the way. I have seen these students get new personal best times as the season goes on. One example in particular was when one of my younger students finished the race in his new personal best I could see the glint in his eye and the hop in his step after the race. I overhead him tell another student that he could've pushed more. When I hear that I know I've got him hooked! Every year I coach I create a special bond with these athletes that will stay with me forever. I'm so glad God has put me in this position to coach these students in one of the hardest sports a person can do.

Capturing Moments, Creating Memories

Since I have been super busy with coaching and teaching my photography has hit the back burner. I am constantly thinking and you can catch watching new videos and trying new things in my spare time. I still try to pull out the camera for our sports teams taking team pictures and action shots during our races and home volleyball games.

My goal is to get in a least 3 more family portrait shots by the end of the year and to create 3 videos of different restaurant. Very ambitious I know.

Cherishing Family Bonds

Amidst the chaos of work and various commitments, family is the anchor that grounds me. From shared laughter around the dinner table watching Avery grow every day in her own unique way to the quiet moments of togetherness as we play and read books before bed.

Embracing the Journey

This new season of teaching, coaching, and family life has had it's fair share of ups and downs. But it's good to go back through your camera roll every now and again to remember those captured moments that you don't want to forget. Those mundane routines, and the ordinary experiences that we find joy, meaning, and purpose. So, I encourage you to embrace the chaos in your life, celebrate the victories, embrace the difficulties and always keep God in the forefront of your mind.

In conclusion, I pray that you can take the time to reflect and be grateful for the amazing experiences and new perspectives that God has placed in your life.

Psalm 139:23-24.

"Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!"
