Ahead of Brittany and I is a journey not only for our teaching ministry but our personal ministry too. Tomorrow is the first day of another school year. A school year that will be filled with many up's and downs. But a journey nonetheless that begins with a single step or first day. Even though this will be the start of Brittany's 8th year and my 5th year there are still some butterflies for what's ahead.

It feels like yesterday when Brittany welcomed me to Okinawa.

A lot has happened in these past 4 years and we've truly been blessed by God. We got through COVID

and got married.

Then Brittany and I decided that we wanted to start a family. But we struggled with infertility. We hoped and prayed for a year and a half and we were not able to get pregnant. After hearing about all of the different options that we could do we ultimately decided to proceed with IVF (in-vitro fertilization). And through shots, and many doctors visits we were blessed by God to have gotten 8 embryo's! And.......after many failed pregnancy tests.....Brittany finally got here that she was pregnant. On the day of the procedure I couldn't wait. I had to call her right away. And this was the picture I took of us over video chat when she told me that we were going to have a baby.

If you can't tell by our faces Brittany and I are very excited to be parents.

Currently she is 27 weeks pregnant.

She's stunning!

We are super grateful for everyone who has supported us in our journey thus far. We wouldn't have gotten as far as we did without you.

Now we must take that first step into the unknown of a new school year filled with hope and joy that stems from our Lord and Savior!

Today was back to school day..... The students returned to meet their teachers and drop off supplies. And school starts tomorrow. I pray that all goes well and that we have the best school year yet!

I am super blessed by all of the God fearing individuals who work at our school.

(See if you can find Brittany and I)

If you are interested in supporting our ministry here in Okinawa you can go to the link below and type in our name and follow the steps. We are apart of a mission organization called RCE (Resourcing Christian Education) that supports teachers/individuals in christian ministry around the world.

If you do not feel called to donate monetarily thats ok! We would still love to hear from you! Please send us an encouraging note on here and please pray for us!

We would love to hear from you to see how God is working in your lives!

With Love,

The Mahaffie's
