2 Weeks in Tokyo

Brittany and I arrived at the Haneda Airpot in Tokyo on July 29th. We were able to secure an airbnb in Ota City, a ward of Tokyo. We have been told by the quarantine team at the airport that we must try and avoid large crowd gatherings, make sure we remain healthy, and continue to wear masks, wash hands and maintain our social distance. We must stay in Tokyo for 14 days because that is what the quarantine team has asked of us before we are allowed to use public transportation.
We have booked a flight on August 13th to return back to Okinawa. From what we have heard Okinawa now has the 2nd largest number of coronavirus cases per capita next to Tokyo. Our school is planning to return to on-campus learning with various modifications of keeping the students at a distance and making sure there are regular cleaning procedures.
Included below are some of the ways that we will be implementing to keep our school safe and healthy during this crisis.

Below is different Alert Level's that are school is following to categorize how to react to different threat levels from the virus. Our school is currently at level 3.

But the situation is ever changing so it could change in the next couple of weeks due to the increased number of cases that Okinawa is getting every day.
But we hope to return to regular school days as soon as we possibly can.
In the meantime Brittany and I have been trying to prepare for our upcoming school year with this time we have. When we aren't working we go for walks at a local park nearby with our good friends/colleagues who decided to quarantine in the same airbnb complex.

In order to stay healthy we try to get in some exercise by going for runs, doing push ups, squats. It can get a little stir crazy sometimes though when you are inside a lot. But we trying to mix it up by making food, watching tv, reading and doing work. It's good practice for recently getting married.
We recently watched our good friends Melisa and Jona's wedding from a facebook live session.
Also during our walks/breaks from long time inside we got to see a temple nearby where we are staying. There are few in short walking distance from where we are staying.

On that note, I've got to get back to work. So glad I was decided to take a quick break to write up this post and to update you with everything that is going on. Be sure to keep checking my posts I will keep you updated with everything that is going on with us and our return back to Okinawa.
